Views Sortable Tables show no sorting controls on the Front End

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Views 2.6

Resolved in: Toolset Views 2.6.1

Topic Tags: Views, Views plugin

Symptoms

When you create a table, sortable by columns, using the Toolset Loop Wizard, and visit this View on the front-end, you will not see any controls to sort the table’s columns.

This is because the wpv-heading shortcode does not enclose the Sorting Control’s label automatically as it did until now, hence the front-end will miss the clickable Sort by links.

In Toolset Views versions prior to 2.6, this was automatically included. In Toolset Views 2.6 it is not included if you insert such a shortcode using the Loop Wizard.

Workaround

A workaround is to simply manually add text in the enclosing wpv-heading shortcode, for example:

{{wpv-heading name="post-title"}}Post Name{{/wpv-heading}}

Also, you can apply this patch by unzipping it and uploading the file it contains to replace the one with the same name, located in /res/js/redesign/.
