Symptoms

Toolset Types offers Post Reference Fields which can be inserted in Toolset Forms to connect the newly created posts to another Post of the type set in the Post Reference Field.

If that Post Reference Field happens to have the same slug as a Custom Post Type, submitting such form will result in:

Post not being created and a 404 not found error – if AJAX is not used.
An error pop-up stating “There was an error while submitting the form” – if AJAX is used.
