Notifications not sent when using generic Select field with generic_type attribute of “user_id”

Symptoms

When you create a generic Select field and manually add the generic_type argument with the value of user_id, notifications to a user (ID) that is passed using that generic field will not be sent.

Workaround

Currently, there is no solution for this issue.

A workaround is to use notifications sent to a specific user, or to an email field passed in the form. That email Field must be created using the Types plugin.
