“Non Types” Custom Fields (from other Plugins, code) do not work in Custom Filters built with Toolset Views

Symptoms

When you create custom fields using PHP code or third-party plugins like Advanced Custom Fields, and later add Custom Filters with Views using those fields, the Custom Filter will not work on the front-end.

The issue is that when you submit the search, it will not update the results.

This happens with any custom field unless it is created by Toolset Types plugin.

Workaround

This problem will be solved in the next Views release.

Meanwhile, you can download this ZIP File, unpack it, and upload the file it contains to …/wp-views/inc/filters/, replacing the one with the same name.
