Distance Query Filters cannot be added to Views created with Toolset Blocks

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Maps 2.0

Symptoms

Toolset Blocks allows you to create Views directly on a page. If the displayed content has a custom Address field, you can add Query Filters by distance to such Views.

Sometimes, adding such Query Filters with Toolset Block might fail.  In this case, the auto-suggest field for a fixed location (used in the distance search) does not suggest any addresses. Additionally, even if you add the address manually, the location setting won’t persist after saving the page.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this issue (besides using the legacy Views).

Our developers are working on this problem and will fix it as soon as possible.

2 thought on Distance Query Filters cannot be added to Views created with Toolset Blocks

  • Hi, I’ve just come across this issue of not being able to add distance query filters via Blocks. I found this page whilst looking for answers.
Confusingly, there are no dates on this page so I can’t tell if it’s recent or really old.
It does make reference to Toolset Maps 2.0 and at the time of writing (14/3/2020) the current version of Toolset Maps is 2.0.2
So is it an update to Blocks that is needed to accomplish this?
    Thanks

    • The erratum state is “Open”, and it happens for and since Maps 2.0
Once the problem is resolved the erratum will be green, it will say “Resolved in” like for example any errata from https://toolset.com/known-issues/ > resolved

There’s no point in adding a date, sometimes these errata are reported for versions long gone, and people would then think the issue is somewhat resolved because “so old”
That is not the case – the only indicators are as visible the status and colour and fixed/affected versions
