For example, we can have \u201cAirports\u201d (parent) and \u201cFlights\u201d (children), which are two post types that are directly related.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A many-to-many relationship, on the other hand, features a so-called \u201cintermediary\u201d post type that connects the two main post types. For example, we can have \u201cClients\u201d, connected to \u201cDevelopers\u201d through a \u201cContract\u201d (intermediary post type). This is explained in more details on the page about \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/de\/course-lesson\/many-to-many-post-relationships\/\">many-to-many relationships<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to set the translation mode for post-types that are related. To do this, go to&nbsp;<strong>WPML&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2192&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>. There, scroll to the&nbsp;<strong>Post Types Translation&nbsp;<\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\" tb-image tb-image-media aligncenter\" data-toolset-blocks-image=\"6dd89bb688ba45820d465f09002c2629\"><a href=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/toolset-post-relationship-post-type-translation-settings.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/toolset-post-relationship-post-type-translation-settings-500x141.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1739299\"\/><\/a><div class=\"tb-image-caption\"><figcaption>Setting translation options for related post types<\/figcaption><\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>WPML and Toolset allow you to have any combination translation modes for post types involved in a relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"working-with-related-translated-content\">Working with Related Translated Content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have selected the translation options for post types in a relationship, you can translate the posts using your favorite translation method in WPML.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When translating, you need to translate the content, but you don\u2019t have to do anything about the related posts.
