For example, you can use standard product categories to classify products by types (heels, boots, sandals, slippers, etc.) and use a custom taxonomy to classify your products by departments (Women, Men, Children).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps for adding a custom taxonomy to products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Go to the Toolset <\/strong>\u2192 Dashboard <\/strong>page and click the Add custom taxonomy <\/strong>button in the Product<\/strong> row.<\/li>
  2. Enter the plural and singular name for your taxonomy. The slug is created automatically.<\/li>
  3. Click the Save Taxonomy <\/strong>button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n

    Your new taxonomy will now appear in the main WordPress admin menu under the Products section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to display custom product taxonomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    You can easily display custom product taxonomies using Toolset blocks. Usually, you would do this when designing single-product templates<\/a> or product archives like the Shop Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use the following steps to display custom taxonomy information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Insert a Toolset block to display the taxonomy. For example, you could use the Toolset Single Field <\/strong>block.<\/li>
    2. In the right sidebar, select Taxonomy <\/strong>for the Field Type <\/strong>option and then use the Post Taxonomy <\/strong>dropdown to select your custom taxonomy.<\/li>
    3. In the right sidebar, use the Field Options<\/strong>, Typography<\/strong>, and other sections to design the output for taxonomy information.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n
