Hi,
In this tutorial: https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/guide-drupal-developers-switching-wordpress/ you specify very few about the actual migration from Drupal to WordPress itself... The "chapter 2" simply specifies to "Export your data from Drupal" using the Backup & Migrate module... But what it does in fact is a backup with the format mysql (whether zipped or not). Then we are supposed to import it in WP using WPAllImport...

I don't know if it's a bug, but I have the pro version of WPAllImport, along with the Toolset addon, and when I try to upload the zip or gzip file, I simply receive an error that the file is not valid... It looks like we need an XML or CSV file, but there's no way to create one from the Drupal's tool...

I know I did it once before, but when I look in my files, I see that I have a zip file, but it probably didn't work as well, as I have a bunch of csv files also (probably direct manual exports from the database itself)...

Is there something I'm missing? Could you be more precise in the steps? If not, is the FG Drupal to WordPress plugin (would need the paid one) the best solution (it also requires Toolset)?

Nelson

Hi Nelson,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

The Toolset's guide on migrating from Drupal to WordPress gives an overview of the common terminologies and how to prepare the WordPress website in the scope of Toolset plugins. The actual content migration process is not covered in detail so that the user can choose the manual method or the third-party plugin method, as needed.

Most of the guides that you'll find online on this topic will be using the third-party plugin "FG Drupal to WordPress":

You'll find some additional notes in my reply to another user:

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar

Ok, thank you. So it looks like what I did the last time was the only way.
