I have tried following this tutorial to get the same results, but the steps do not match what is available on the current version of Views and Types in the menu options on the back end.. or am I just missing something?
The first steps in the above tutorial is to create custom fields.. so is this assuming that you have already created a custom post type and a number of other posts as well, and the View is just calling them?
Also the screenshots are confusing because I am not seeing those options. Was that tutorial written before the current updates to Views and Types? And when you create a new View, which option are you suppose to select? The selections it gives you are as follows:
Types & Views have been updated recently, so there are some difference in the screenshot.
1) And you are right, it assuming that you have already created a custom post type and a number of other posts as well, and the View is just calling them.
2) The Add a new View dialog, allows you to choose the type of output you want to create. Once you’ve selected a view type, the Views interface will be tailored to show you the sections and help you need to create your chosen View type. https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/
There are some example for each option:
a) Display all results
The View will output all the results returned from the query section.

Hi luoy, thank you. 🙂 Yep, after hours and hours things finally began to click and I was able to get the feature bar and the Views taxonomy from the Classifieds tutorial..
