When a custom post type is created with types, does it automatically get assigned generic post capabilities? i.e.: edit_post, delete_post, etc..
I need for certain post types to only be editable by certain user roles, but I can't seem to separate my custom post types from generic posts in this regard.

Hi Matthew,

Types doesn't set the post capabilities. This is something we'll be adding in the future. There are other plugins available now that manage role capabilities.

Best regards,

Unfortunately I need this functionality asap.
Is there a way I can manually set a custom capability_type to my post types that I've created with Types?

By default they use edit_post, publish_post, etc. I need to have edit_custompost1, publish_custompost1, etc.

Is this possible or do I need to start from scratch and manually register all of my post types in order to have custom capabilites?

have a look at membership plugins
