I am trying to: Change field type form checkboxes to checkbox

I expected to see: the checkbox button available for change

Instead, I got: grayed out buttons and the message "Some of the field types are disabled for conversion because they're using a significantly different data format, which is not compatible with the current field type."

i just created multiple custom fields using the checkboxes type insted of the checkbox type. no data is stored for these fields in the DB.

i looked at https://toolset.com/forums/topic/is-it-possible-to-change-an-existing-single-line-field-to-a-multi-line-field/

the UI is there to create the change but it seems that this feature is disabled...
please advise,

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - this is expected behavior and as message already states that "Some of the field types are disabled for conversion because they're using a significantly different data format, which is not compatible with the current field type.", actually, Types checkboxes field stored in database with special format as serialize array that is why the message you get is expected one.

I suggest to remove the current custom field you created from Types fields control and then try to recreate it with Checkbox field type.
